For the first time on 26 January (Republic Day)Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will lay wreath at the National War Memorial .He will be received by the Chief of Defence Staff and the three services chiefs.Before proceeding for the Republic Day parade, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will pay respects at the National War Memorial along with the chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) and the three service chiefs . This year on Republic Day there will be no wreath-laying at the Amar Jawan Jyoti, India Gate.
