Christmas day N New Year in Delhi

World over 25th December is celebrated as Christmas day; this day marks the birth of Jesus Christ. This festival is also called the festival of light, this festival is also the most awaited festival for children because they get many gifts through their parents, but a child believes the present is from the father of Christmas for being good on his naughty and nice list entire year.

As per tradition apart from gifts Christmas trees are decorated by the family with star on the top under which gifts are placed for family members. People visit Church and sing Christmas carol and share happiness with friends and relatives.

But the modern concept for Christmas visiting Church followed by party with friends dancing all night long , children getting gifts not for being good on Santa Claus’s “naughty or nice” list but instead being smart and being able to use their skills to win a competition either of some brain storming quiz or some fancy dress competition.



On this day In Delhi, malls and night clubs are flooded with people in mood for party at great clubs and for fest though some prefer to throw a great party at their houses only but still night clubs have long queue of people to get their way through to the club. As at many places will their might be some famous live band might be performing or may be some celebrity might be giving his appearance to wow his/her fans.

On this day many residential sector of Delhi also have their own Santa Claus who distribute sweets to the children and wish them “Merry Christmas”, and even schools will have a small celebration for their entire student. And that’s not it delhiites also spread joy to the one in need; people from various section donate and give charity to bring happiness to some faces on Christmas.

The other best part of Christmas is sale; as in winter shops of Delhi are flooded with sale and discount but around Christmas shoppers get to gifts or prices on shopping.
