Business Details : Shweta Talwar | Suchit Sahni Shweta Talwar: Shweta Talwar, has long been working on artworks that articulate luxury and style. Her works are a celebration of everything that is luxurious and rich - be it culture, history, wealth, colors or the textures and symbols that she uses on her artworks. Her global exposure since her early schooling days and her masters in art from St Martins, has armed her with an artistic language that is truly contemporary Indian. Its current, its rich in cultural influences and has a clever balance of old and new. Shweta, in this exhibition has showcased 11 artworks inspired by the vineyards and wine making process in Italy. The simple strokes lend a country side look & feel to her works, going in tandem with the small quaint towns of Veneto, Piedmont, and Tuscany, some of the oldest wine producing regions of Italy. The essence of her artworks is to celebrate the luxury and style that is attributed to wine, making this collection truly Avant Garde. Suchit Sahni: There are very few artworks and even fewer artists who can charm a large group of audience with bold colors. Suchit, as an artist has got this gift and manages to enthrall every viewer with much charm. The challenges of picking a genre as recent as pop art are many; the effortless ease with which he has managed to carve a definitive niche and recognition for his style of paintings is commendable. The young and vibrant painter has since his previous solo shows in 2010 and 2011 matured with a sense of calm - in the overtly violent burst of colors on his canvases. Each artwork in his current collection has a unique story to tell. Suchit Sahni revisits his early learning years, where he was introduced to the view finder. Superbly fascinated with the view finder, he spent days and months looking through it, at everything - visually replicating his visions as paintings. When one looks at his recent artworks, one clearly marks out the frame that encompasses the painting itself. Though the frame forms a part of the painting, he has very playfully and stylishly revisited a memory close to his heart with such ease. His collectors and admirers would appreciate the newness and continuity in his current series of artworks.
