Dr Bagaria is a young but experienced surgeon proficient in performing all kinds of Hip and Knee replacement procedures. He has special training in Hip and knee revision procedures, Hip resurfacing and Unicondylar knee replacements. He is well versed with latest technology in the field especially Miniamally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Computer Navigated Surgery (CAS) and patient specific instrumentation.

Dr Vaibhav Bagaria did his post graduation (MS) from the prestigious KEM Hospital, Mumbai after completing his MBBS from Govt. Medical College (GMC), Nagpur during which he received three gold medals. He then worked in orthopaedic and microsurgery dept. of Medical College -Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA on a yearlong fellowship program during which he also received two international awards and diploma from SICOT, Belgium. He then undertook a travelling fellowship at various orthopaedic centres of excellence in Germany. After working at CIIMS hospital as cheif orthopaedic surgeon, he continued his pursuit for excellence in field of joint replacement surgery and decided to spend a year doing a fellowship in advanced adult reconstruction. At Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, Perth and The Avenue Hospital Melbourne he acquired skills in Minimally Invasive surgeries (MIS), computer navigated surgeries (CAS) and patient specific Instrumentation (PSI).

Apart from his varied clinical interest; he has specific research interest in developing CAD CAM assisted joint replacement prosthesis and using stem cells in tissue regeneration. One of the prime areas of research in which he is working in close collaboration with VNIT, Nagpur is development of customized hip replacement prosthesis using CAD CAM and rapid prototyping modules. Their team already has collected normative data of 250 Indian subjects and designed a model of the prototype. The future direction is focused on integration of tissue engineering and rapid manufacturing to the above protocol which promises to be a cheaper and better alternative to standard prosthesis (implants) currently available.

He has received many national and international awards. He had been an Olympic torch bearer during Beijing 2008 games and his name has been included in the current years Marquis Who's who for achievements in his field. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Korean award at World Orthopaedic congress held at Istanbul 2005. He is serving on the editorial board of many journals, has authored many papers in national and international journals and has also written many books and book chapters.
