Delhi is metropolitan city and it is attracted by many people because of several historical buildings and monuments.Some are very beautiful and contemporary design buildings are also the reason of attraction for Delhi and one of the best historical monument is Lotus temple the most prominent Bahai lotus temple. The lotus temple in Delhi was completed about in 1989. It is called a Lotus temple of Delhi or Lotus temple in Delhi because of its shape as a lotus.
Lotus temple Delhi is also known as Bahai lotus temple Delhi as it is worship place for Bahai’s but it is open for all religion believers. There is no restriction for anyone only one particular religion believer. Lotus temple in Delhi is also an attraction for tourists and is one of most prominent temple.

Construction:
The construction of this temple took around 6 years though it was opened for the public in 1986.
The structure of the temple is derived from the Lotus, the national flower of India as the Lotus has been a significant part of the Hindu religion too.

Structure:
Lotus temple is shaped in the form of a half opened Lotus Flower and the main structure encircled by nine ponds. There are nine doors which leads to the central hall and number nine is considered sacred in Bahai faith, which despite all the major nine faiths of the World.The marvelous structure of the temple comprises 27 self-supporting marble clad "petals" that are arranged in groups of three to form nine faces.Lotus temple of Delhi is one of the prominent temples which have been selected fro publishing the book with colored beautiful pictures of each corner. Its praise has reached to all over the world and thats why the numbers of visitors are increasing considerably just to gat a glance of it.
