"no landing or takeoff" on Republic Day

On every Republic day, the Indian Air Force make the celebration more special by showcasing their aircraft flying. If you are flying in and out of Delhi airport in the coming days then you should note that the airport will be shut for nearly two hours, due to Republic Day rehearsals. No flight operations will take place for around Two hours at the Delhi International Airport.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) issued a notice to airmen (NOTAM) on Sunday, "no landing or takeoff" would be "permitted" at Delhi International Airport  on January 18, 20-24 and 26, between 10.35 am and 12.15 pm due to "Republic Day Celebrations".Every Year 26 january is celebrated as Republic Day, in India. On this day, the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950.
The year 2020 will mark India's 71st Republic Day. A large amount of effort is put towards organising events and celebrations that occur on Republic Day. A grand parade is held in New Delhi and the representatives of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force also take part in it. The Indian Air Force make the celebration more special by showcasing their aircraft flying.

IndiGo Airline:
IndiGo has advised the passengers to reach the airport before time to avoid any inconvenience and tweeted, "Due to heightened security owing to Republic Day, passengers may face rush at the airports. We would like to request all passengers to reach the Delhi airport at least 3 hours prior to departure to avoid any hassle."
Vistara Airline:
Vistara informed that the fight activity may get affected due to Republic Day rehearsals and  tweeted "Flights to and from Delhi on 18th Jan, 20th - 24th Jan and 26th Jan might be affected due to airspace restrictions for Republic Day rehearsals."
SpiceJet Airline:
SpiceJet Airline also tweeted regarding the same and asked passengers to keep a check on their flight status.The airline tweeted "Do keep a check on your flight status."
