India is all set to host Formula 1 for the first time. The first ever 2011 Formula 1 Airtel Grand Prix of IndiaTM being held at Jaypee's Buddh International Circuit (BIC) The formula 1 races will be held in Greater Noida. The F1 will take place on 28 - 30 Oct 2011.
The Buddh International Circuit is said to become the second fastest track on the Formula 1 calendar after Monza and expects the fastest lap times to be under 1min27s with average speeds crossing 210 kmph.
Jaypee Sports City is situated near Greater Noida, along the Yamuna Express Highway. If you are driving or taking a cab to Jaypee Sports City it will take:
- 110 minutes from International Airport.
- 70 minutes from Connaught Place.
- 40 minutes from DND Flyway.
- 15 minutes from Greater Noida.
Main attraction of F1 will be Pop diva Lady Gaga who is all set to make her India debut on October 30 when she will perform during the closing ceremony of the country's first Formula One race in Greater Noida.
Arjun Rampal LAP restobar co-owner said "It's a very big thing that Lady Gaga has agreed to perform in India."
"She's in the peak of her career now and I am thrilled to announce that she will come to India for the first time," he added.
