The biggest and most popular one of the New Delhi fairs is the India International Trade Fair (IITF), which is organized at the Pragati Maidan. The same place also serves as the venue for a number of other fairs in Delhi like the Auto Expo, Book Fair, etc. Delhi fairs have something for everyone, be it a music lover or a food connoisseur or an appreciator of handicrafts.

Delhi Book Fair is an annual fair, is organized by the Indian Trade Promotion Organization. Delhi book Fair 2010 is a dream come true for all the book lovers in the country. Apart from making the book lovers happy, it also expands distribution possibilities for the publishers. There are stalls from all over India as well as abroad. Apart from books in English, Hindi and Urdu, the fair also showcases books in regional languages like Bangla, Tamil, Punjabi, Telagu and Malayalam. Books in foreign languages include Persian, Arabic, French, German and Spanish books. These books deal with subjects as varied as Politics, International Studies, Philosophies, Sports, Art, Culinary and Literature, to name a few. Most of the publishers give some amount of discounts that are in proportion to the volume of books purchased. One can find books on any topic here, right from Politics to International Studies to Philosophy to Sports to Art and Literature. India International Trade Fair:
 

 
India International Trade Fair or the IITF Organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), it starts on the 14th of November every year. India Trade Promotion Organisation is organizing the 30th edition of its popular annual event, the India International Trade Fair, in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2010.It is an annual fair that takes place at the grounds of Pragati Maidan, India International Trade Fair at Delhi was held for the first time in 1980 and since then it is an annual event much awaited by people from all over the country. The fair provides a kind of platform to the manufacturers, traders, exporters and importers of the country to showcase their products in front of all.
 

 
IITF Offers to participants from different segments of industry adequate visibility for their products and services among fair visitors with demarcated halls representing different sectors. Through its Special Display sections of techmart, represnting products and technologies of small and medium enterprises, Saras, Highlighting tribal and rural handicrafts, and Good Living, with focus on products and goods relevant to daily living, the fair ensures a distinct visibility for generic product categories. These represent engineering, software and hardware, automobiles, electronics, telecom, leather, textiles, handicrafts, jewellery, furniture and furnishings besides a wide range of consumer goods.

Note : Try buying tickets from Delhi Metro Stations as soon as possible as there will be very

Surajkund Crafts Mela:
 

Skilled artists, painters, weavers, sculptors and craftsmen from all over India come to take part in this fair, which showcases folk arts and crafts. Surajkund Crafts Mela is a handloom and handicrafts fair organized annually by the Haryana Tourism. It is one of the unique features of the fair is that its decor is based on the theme of a particular state and the state chosen changes every year.

Phoolwalon Ki Sair:
 
An annual event, it mainly consists of a procession taken out by flower sellers down the flower-seller's promenade. Phoolwalon ki Sair festival, literally meaning Procession of Flower Sellers, takes place in the Mehrauli area of Delhi. The major attractions of the Phoolwalon ki Sair festival consist of Kathak dances, qawwalis, acrobats, fire dancers, etc.

Highlights: A procession to offer flowers at the temple of Jog Maya and the tomb of Saint Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki.

International Mango Festival Delhi:
 

The mango varieties displayed at the International Mango Festival comprise of the traditional categories as well as the new hybrid discoveries of the 'King of Fruits'. The international Mango Festival of Delhi is organized in the month of July. Held at the Talkatora stadium, it is one of the most awaited fairs in the capital city. This is because most of the other fairs appeal to our intellect or aesthetics, while the Delhi International Mango Festival is for our taste buds.

Qutub Festival of Classical Music and Dance:

The month of February is the prefect time for hosting the Delhi Garden Tourism Festival as during this period the capital city is covered under a blanket of flowers. Wide varieties of flowers like roses and dahlias, potted plants; home plants, bonsai, etc are exhibited at the tourism festival. Garden Tourism Festival of Delhi, organized by Delhi Tourism, is held at the Talkatora Stadium. An ideal place for the flower enthusiasts, the Garden Tourism Festival of Delhi offers some other attractions also.

Job Events in New Delhi:
 

Aviation Career & Job Fair would be organized at the Pragati Maidan of New Delhi, India from 4th April to 5th April 2009. It is organized by the Street Blimps. Professionals from Charters & Air Taxis, Aircraft Dealers, Avionics Shops, Airport Authorities, Commuter Airlines, Flight Schools, Corporate Flight Departments, International, National and Regional Airlines and Ground Handlers would be some of the visitors in the fair.
