The World's most expensive office markets, in New Delhi's Connaught Place, has moved up from 9th position to 5th position. According to CBRE Global Research and Consultancy's semi-annual Prime Office Occupancy Costs survey, habitation cost Rs 10,034 per sq ft. It is a historical structure, a shopper’s haven, a foodie’s delight, a culture buff’s destination. The truth is, Connaught Place, or CP as it is universally known, offers many unique experiences into one.
In 1929 The massive circular ivory white structure was built by the British. The market named (Duke of Connaught) was later renamed after the Gandhis during the time of Union Home Minister S.B. Chavan (the outer circle was called Indira Chowk and Inner circle was rechristened Rajiv Chowk ). Now, this is the fourth most expensive office destination in the world and the fifth-biggest priced market in the world as per some consultancy firms.
