Mughal Gardens, Delhi
It is Popularly known as the “soul” of the Presidential Palace, the Mughal Gardens are situated inside the Rashtrapati Bhawan Complex. In 1917 it was Beautifully Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Lady Harding, the gardens cover a huge area of 13 acres and have a wonderful Mughal architecture with that of British style. The Mughal Gardens is inspired by in Jammu and Kashmir, the ones in Delhi have succeeded in duplicating the same charm and creating the picture-perfect greenery panorama. The whole complex is a breathtaking combination of Spiritual, Circular, Bonsai, Herbal, Tactile and Musical Gardens.The gardens feature a wast variety of seasonally blooming flowers and present a spectacular euphoric picture altogether.
Mughal Gardens consist of endangered varieties of over 159 floral species including tulips, hyacinth, Asiatic lilies, daffodils, viscera, etc. Besides this, the complex consists of four water tanks, with sparkling water fountains made of red sandstone. A t the time of the festival of Udyanotsav this wonderful Garden opens to the public for a specified duration in the month of February and March.
