Now Wi-Fi in planes

On Monday the Union government issued an announcement that all airlines operating in India can now provide in-flight wi-fi services to its passengers.

According to the notification "The Pilot-in-Command may allow the of Internet services by traveler on board an aircraft in flight, through Wi-Fi on board, when a laptop, tablet, smartwatch, smartphone, e-reader or a point of sale device is used in airplane mode or flight mode,"

Last Friday While taking the delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft at Everett, Vistara CEO Leslie Thng had told reporters that it would be the first plane in India to provide in-flight Wi-Fi services.
