LOTUS TEMPLE, a place for worship for all
Lotus Temple East of Nehru place, the Lotus temple is built in the shape of a lotus flower and it is originally named as Bahai House of Worship. Built-in 1986, the Lotus Temple is a major attraction in Delhi and it serves as the Mother.
The structure is made up of white marble, Furiburz Sabha the architect chose the lotus as the symbol common to Hinduism, Buddhism, Bhai TempleJainism and Islam. Worshipers of any religion are free to visit the temple and pray or meditate.Around the blooming petals, there are nine pools of water, which light up with natural light. It looks amazing at dusk when it is floodlit.
How to reach Lotus Temple ?
It can easily be reached from any corner of Delhi. The auto-rickshaws, local buses, and taxis are available from various points. You can also take Botanical Garden Metro and get down on Kalka Ji metro station to reach Lotus Temple.
